Detectives Seeking Information in Homicide on Skillman Street

On July 25, 2016, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the victim, Cassandra Subi, a 19 year-old Black female, was shot and killed in the parking lot after leaving a restaurant and lounge in the 9200 block of Skillman Street.  Several suspects, in two different vehicles, began shooting at each other and the victim was caught in the crossfire.  The Dallas Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding this murder contact the Dallas Police Homicide Unit at (214) 671-3661.

Arrest Made in Homicide

On July 31, 2016, at approximately 9:06 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a deceased body in a wooded area at 7400 Schepps Pkwy.  This was originally classified as an unexplained death.  The victim, Charles Solomon W/M 78-years-old was later identified.

During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that, Dustin Smith W/M 21- years old may be responsible for the death of Mr. Solomon.  On August 8, 2016,  Suspect Smith voluntarily came to police headquarters and confessed to killing Mr. Solomon.  Suspect Smith is currently in the Dallas County jail for Capital Murder on $500,00.00 bond.

Suspect Arrested for Capital Murder on Estate Lane

On August 12, 2016, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 10900 block of Estate Lane. Upon officers arrival, they discovered four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Victim Kelvin Jackson, a 38-year-old Black male, was deceased at the scene.  Victims Kendra Covey, a 28-year-old White female, Elizabeth Taylor-Laaker, a 20-year-old White female, and Jimmy Sangster, a 40-year-old Black male, were all transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   The suspect, a 27-year-old Black male, was taken into custody and arrested for Capital Murder on a $1, 000, 000. bond.  A second Black male suspect has been identified but remains at-large. The suspects names and photos are not being released pending a photo line-up being shown to the victims.

Update August 16, 2016:

On June 22, 2016, the victim, Salvador Gonzalez, was found shot and killed in the 7900 block of Leigh Ann Drive (Case number 151477-2016). Kristopher Laray Woods is a person of interest in this case and is also wanted for Aggravated Robbery on warrant numbers F1670044Q and F1670043Q.  If anyone has any information about the location of Kristopher Woods they are asked to please contact Homicide Detective Duggan at 214-671-3642.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Detectives Seeking Information in Mockingbird Lane Homicide

On August 16, 2016, at approximately 12:05 a.m. Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3100 block of W. Mockingbird Lane.  When officers arrived they observed the victim, a Black female, seated in the driver’s seat of a red Dodge Challenger being treated for a gunshot wound by Dallas Fire Rescue.  DFR declared the victim deceased at the scene.

On August 29, 2016, at approximately 12:44 a.m., the victim, Jesse James Wooten, a Black male 35-years-old, was shot and killed inside his apartment at 3628 Pine Street. Capital Murder at 3030 S. Lancaster Road

On August 18, 2016, at approximately 1:48 p.m., Dallas Police responded to two separate aggravated robbery calls at 3030 S. Lancaster Road. Victims Alvin Fox, a Black male, 88-years-old, and Sells, Harris, a Black male, 54-years-old were both assaulted and had property taken by Johnny Lee Flentroy, a Black male, 24-years-old. Victim Fox, who suffered head injuries, was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition. Victim Sells was also transported to an area hospital where he sought treatment for his injuries. The suspect, Johnny Lee Flentroy, who was arrested at the scene was in possession of both victims property. He was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and placed in jail.

On September 3, 2016, at approximately 5:58 a.m., Victim Fox, who remained in the hospital, died as a result of his injuries. The aggravated robbery warrant related to victim Fox has been dropped and a capital murder warrant has been issued with a $500,000.00 bond. Suspect Flentroy remains in jail.

Homicide at 3410 Kellogg Ave

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in the murder investigation of victim Maria Romero-Villegas.  On September 7, 2016, at approximately 7:21 a.m., victim Romero-Villegas was found deceased at 3410 Kellogg Avenue Dallas, Texas.  The investigation determined that victim died from homicidal violence.  The victim was last seen leaving the Exxon gas station at 3003 E. Illinois Ave. on September 6, 2016, at approximately 10:00 p.m. driving a 1997 Dodge Pickup with Silver trim.  At this time, there is limited suspect information in regards to this offense.

 Homicide detectives are seeking information as to victim Romero-Villegas whereabouts between September 6, 2016, and September 7, 2016.

Murder Investigation

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in the murder investigation of victim Ruben Torres-Espinoza. On August 28, 2016, at approximately 6:06 p.m., victim Torres-Espinoza was shot and killed in the Keller’s Hamburger parking lot at 10554 Harry Hines Blvd. Dallas, Texas.  At this time, there is limited suspect information in regards to this offense. 

The suspect in this case is said to be a Latin male that goes by the name of  “Leo”. The suspect appears to be in his early to middle 30’s, is about 5’8”, stocky build with short black hair, has a goatee, and is armed with an unknown type black pistol. The suspect drives a dark blue newer model Nissan Armada with paper dealer tags.

Information Wanted for the Murder of Cedric Robinson

On September 10, 2016 at approximately 6:44 a.m., the victim, Cedric Robinson, was murdered inside the front door area of 7022 Forest Parkway. Two female suspects were involved and they are believed to be prostitutes. Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with any information they may have regarding the murder of Cedric Robinson. This offense is documented on case number 218098-2016. Detectives Need Help Finding Jose Banegas

On June 21, 2016, Jairo Gonzalez was shot and killed as he walked along the sidewalk in the 14100 block of Montfort Drive.  The investigation has revealed that Jose Reynaldo Zamora Banegas was possibly the driver of the suspect vehicle used in this offense.  Mr. Banegas is described as a Latin male, 28 years of age, 5’8’’ tall, weighing 150 pounds. The suspect vehicle is a mid-2000’s black Ford Mustang with two silver stripes along the top and chrome wheels.  Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with any information they may have regarding the location of Jose Reynaldo Zamora Banegas, the suspect vehicle, or any person(s) involved in this murder. Anyone with information on this case should contact Detective C. Sunshine Food Mart Suspects

On September 23, 2016, at about 3:15 a.m., two unknown suspects robbed the 7-11 located at 5910 Singleton Boulevard at gunpoint. The suspects entered the store armed with an assault rifle and a handgun. They pointed their weapons at the employee and demanded money from the register. The suspect stole cash, cigarettes and cigars. The suspects fled on foot.

At about 4:30 a.m., the same suspects robbed the Sunshine Food Mart at 3943 South Cockrell Hill Road. The suspects entered the store, pointed their weapons at the employee, and demanded cash from the register. During the offense, one of the suspects shot the employee causing his death. The suspects fled without stealing property.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help for any information that may lead to the identity of the suspects in these criminal offenses. If anyone has information they are asked to call Detective P. Trujillano at 214-471-7916.

Information Wanted in Homicide on Ferris Branch

Update: Suspect Melvin Louis Jackson has been arrested for the Capital Murder offense that occurred on Ferris Branch and is currently in the Dallas County Jail.

Update:

As a result of the investigation it was determined that Melvin Louis Jackson, a 34-year-old Black male, was responsible for the deaths of Brashaun Boyce and Gerlando Halstied.

A Capital Murder warrant has been issued for the arrest of Melvin Louis Jackson. Anyone who has information to the whereabouts of Melvin Louis Jackson is asked to call 9-1-1. Callers who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477).

On September 25, 2016 at approximately 1:09 a.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 9700 block of W. Ferris Branch Boulevard. Upon arrival officers learned Brashaun Boyce,  a 42-year-old Black male, had been shot at the location and taken to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. Patrol officers located Gerlando Halstid, a 39-year-old Black male, at the location deceased from a gunshot wound. Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s assistance with any information they may have regarding the murder of these victims.

Double Homicide at 700 N. Lancaster Ave

On September 30, 2016, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of N. Lancaster Avenue. Upon officers arrival, they observed two deceased Latin males from gun shot wounds and a third male victim in critical condition who was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue. This is an ongoing investigation, further details will be released when they become available and it is appropriate to do so. FBI TEN MOST WANTED FUGITIVE BRENDA DELGADO NOW IN CUSTODY

Updated Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 8:10 p.m.:

On September 2, 2015, the Dallas Police Department began the murder investigation of Dr. Kendra Hatcher, a dentist murdered inside a parking garage in the Uptown area of Dallas.  After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Brenda Delgado for the commission of this offense.  During the search for Ms. Delgado, it was determined that she fled to Mexico.  Dallas Police Detectives partnered with federal law enforcement agencies, and through this collaborative effort, Ms. Delgado was taken into custody on Friday, April 8, 2016, by the Mexican authorities, along with the FBI.  Ms. Delgado has been extradited and has been turned over to Dallas County. 

Special thanks to our federal partners: FBI, ATF, U.S Marshals, U.S Attorney’s Office, and the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

Update April 9, 2016 at 11:12 a.m. 

The Dallas Police Department wishes to extend its thanks and appreciation to the Mexican Government, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the FBI for their work in securing the capture of Capital Murder suspect Brenda Delgado yesterday in Mexico. 

Delgado’s capture  is  another step in the process of seeking justice for the family of Dr. Kendra Hatcher.  We will continue to work with our partners diligently toward that end.

On October 16, 2016, at approximately 4:46 a.m., the victim, Demarcus Washington, a 34-year-old Black male, was involved in a physical confrontation with a group of males in the 4300 block of S. Malcolm X Boulevard.  The confrontation occurred in the rear parking lot of Club Pinky. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that an unknown black male produced a firearm then shot and killed the victim.
